Tucker Carlson's Speech at the Iowa Family Leadership Summit Is Straight Fire

He makes a great point:

It's when the media is in its shriekiest, panic-spreading mode -- its loudest, most insistent, most catastrophic Something Must Be Done Mode -- when they seek to overwhelm your very ability to think clearly -- when you find out what you really think.

Because in those moments when they are causing you to panic, or nearly panic, and preventing you from thinking, or nearly preventing that, you will default to your instincts, and your instincts are what you really think.

And he points out that in these moments where the media is at its loudest, Republican "leaders" like Nikki Haley's default mode of thinking is to seek to appease the New York Time and the liberal Establishment junta.

He then turns to Republican governors and the trans issue, and while he doesn't mention Asa Hutchinson and Kristi Noem by name, he does ask of them, what is so "complicated" about the issue of cheating in sports? Men competing in girls sports is cheating; what is the "complication" that so befuddles you?

And what is so "complex" about the issue of giving drugs to very young children that will permanently sterilize them?

The complex issue of making the New York Times and the Acela Class -- and the liberal urban corridor corporate donor class, of course -- be upset with you, of course.

And he reads them the riot act, and calls upon Republicans to hold them accountable and deny them any further votes.
This Twitter Panic Effect is something I've particularly been incensed about, and I've also noticed which "conservatives" are the "panicky horses" who can most reliably be induced to stampede in the direction the leftist media wishes when they start firing off their guns.

It's... exactly who you think it is. Every single time. It's not as if it's Erick Erickson and Andy McCarthy this time but Mollie Hemingway and Kurt Schlichter this other time. No, it's Erick Erickson and Andy McCarthy every single time.
