I read somewhere that some fish acquire genders based on social cues, (google "sex change fish)" perhaps (I hypothesize) the rise of a homosexual human population is a normal natural reaction to overpopulation. I have had this thought for a couple of years. And, maybe, the issue about dropping sperm counts may also be somewhat related to this. I had read about this issue with fish being able to change gender based on the population issues probably about 20+ years ago.
In many countries, boy babies preferred. In our country, any race except "black" are in demand. Some babies are valued more than others at birth, thank you structural racism. Since boys have been preferred in China and India, and since they have had access to identifying gender with US and abortion, I have heard that there is a shortage of women of marrying age in those countries. I don't know what is happening in India, but in China, men who want to marry are trying to import brides from other countries, like Vietnam. I thought I saw a piece that said the bride shortage in China was in the 10s of millions range.
If we don't blow ourselves up first, Mother Nature may take care of the problem of overpopulation for us, and maybe not so nicely. This pandemic may be the first of many and maybe monkeypox is in the bullpen right now. Climate issues may also limit the growth of the population. We will have to see how the world changes in the next couple of years.
My guess is that Republicans will be claiming that they were fighting against climate change and that AR weapons are the answer to overpopulation. |
