Steve: And I thought Robert Graham had long posts;)

Steve could you describe a typical call from a trader(client) to your firm. What I am getting at is how quickly you will execute the order.

I know that most firms will go through this garbage of pulling up your account, getting the quote, giving you the bid/offer, then repeating the trade back to you to confirm THEN putting the trade in. usually by the time this is done the entry point may have been missed.

As a broker I had the luxury of phoning the trader and saying, " Sell 1000 XYZ @ mkt now" and within a second hearing him say "done".

I have used both methods and I can tell you from experience that the former just doesn't work for me.
