Mega factories in Austin, Samsung building a fab in Round Rock (suburb of Austin) has put real Estate on a projectile of cost that may well rival Californian prices in the future.

At least we'll have lower taxes.
If they keep recruiting from CA and universities to fill that new tech hub, you'll soon have enough blue voters to promise free driver's licenses, sanctuary status, free K through college education, subsidized housing and

whatever else to attract even more illegal border crossings to keep the hidden labor force cheap while relying on taxpayers to cover the costs. You don't have the benefit of CA's prop 13 either so they'll just call you "rich" and make your hard earned savings subject to taxation, somehow, to pay for it.

It will be interesting to see how this heatwave is handled by the media when they start asking people to suffer to not stress the grid. Maybe those investing in uranium mines will have a big payday.
