BC,
How you you know numbers form other countries are faulty?
PooTin has a vested interest in underreporting numbers. Remember, he named the RuZZian vaccine "Sputnik-V" because he thought that by skipping Phase III trials, he could yell "FIRST" like a commenter on YouTube.

Plus pretty much anything coming out of the Kremlin these days is a lie. In fact, by assuming that the Kremlin is lying 100% of the time, one will always be closer to the truth than assuming the Kremlin is telling the truth 100% of the time.

As for China, even with their "zero-COVID" strategy, they had a long period of reporting COVID infections without any deaths whatsoever. Basic statistics tells me that, for a country that experienced tens of thousands of reported cases, they should have seen at least a few hundred deaths. But nope, they reported zero. (Only recently did China's death toll start to rise again, but that just shows how arbitrary their standards of reporting are.)

I already explained why India's numbers are faulty. The key is the sharp increase in excess deaths year-over-year, which greatly outnumber the reported deaths due to COVID-19.
