The global warming is getting much worse and we are doing nothing to mitigate it.

Book recommendation: "The Ministry of the Future."

It is a bit in the future and is about the effects of global warming where in India 20 million people die in a week from high heat.

It is very well written and a great story.

It also has some startling statistics about how close we are to an actual event like the one portrayed in the book.

I may have this wrong, but as I remember the book says we are producing something like 40 giga tons of carbon a year and at 500 giga tones the climate will increase another 2 degrees centigrade.

I have just started the book where the event has happened and it is talking about the world's response.

My sweet daughter wanted me to read it so she bought me a kindle and put it on it. I love the kindle as it is only about 4 by 6 inches so it fits my hand well, and as it has a light I can lie in bed at night and read it.

This is a great book it looks like. My daughter loved it and she is pretty sharp.

PS it is 100 here in Oregon and will remain high for over a week, so very apropos.
