I agree with you, Rob. Chance of being acquired is minimal. This sector is NOT consolidating; on the contrary, it is breaking apart from large unprofitable industries, such as SRAM, into smaller specialized units, such as CL and Centaur. To second guess trading today would be somewhere between error if one were to sell and a waste of time. So I'll waste my time:
1) Institutions buying which are underweighted in the semi area;
2) Institutions buying which have re-evaluated IDTI's prospects;
3) Some short covering;
4) A whiff of news in the air concerning IDTI:
possibilities? (1) The sale of commodity SRAM division with the idea of focusing on new products. This would provide needed cash for ramping production. This alone could send IDTI into the $20's. (2) IDTI may have secured big orders. The people that work for the company(ies) placing the orders can probably get away with buying IDTI stock in advance. (3) Anyone else have any ideas?
