Hi Longhorn,

Don't confuse my E wave guesses with reality.

I've been studying E wave since 2000.

Back in the 1980's I was hand plotting advance / declines and hew highs and new lows. I noticed patterns of 3's and 5's.

When I got my first computer, I found SI and became a lifetime member immediately.

Then came across Da Cheif, who I recognized from the FNN days (which became CNBC, (as I lived in Chicago), and had cable TV. I've been friends with Breeze for years. He must be a genius, thus the name Breeze. I've been priviledged to get copies of his work via Email, before he came to Da Cheif's thread. He really is a student of Ewave and brilliant in my opinion.

We harvested our Garlic two weeks ago. I had 196 bulbs. Planted Music , a hard neck variety. This year's crop was a bit small. I need to do more to conditioning to my soil I think. Have too much clay. I usually add compost and peat moss annually, but have neglected my lower larger garden. I have 7 upper raised garden beds, that get more attention.

I blew up both of my tiller motors last year, and have not taken the time to put new engines on them. Both were old freebees - one a troy rear tine and I will overhaul it with a harbor freight 7 hp engine. It shot craps on the last tilling before planting this year's garlic patch. This year I've been renting a big front tine tiller, like wrestling with a 500 pound gorilla. <smile>

We eat a lot of venison. I work hard at killing two deer every year. If beef is going to be high this year, I should buy some ribeye roasts and cut them up and vacuum pack them. That's about the only beef we eat. I always get about 50 pounds of venison burger mixed with ribeye tallow, and 25 pounds of venison burger with pork butt. My local meat market makes us Italian sausage with venison as well. My wife's father was a butcher in a small Italian grocery store/ meat market in downtown Chicago's "Little Italy District". We use his old recipe.

Jan is stringing the bulbs together with lavender, and Russian sage. We have friends with out gardens who love our gifts and canning from our garden. Neighbors, friends and partners.

Cohu is doing well. Their morphing into a test maker is working vs. just a handler company. They are proving to have sufficient scale in installed owner base machines. That plus their new system sales in testing and they'll become a 1 billion revenue company.

Back in 1978 when I first bought Cohu they had revenue of 100 million, and hoped to have 200 million. They've done well paying off debt and growing cash. I think if they continue down the test metrology innovation , KLAC may become a suitor. Be nice to see an AMAT, TER, KLAC bidding war develop. Get some big blue chip stock that pays a juicy dividend and a tax free bump up in cost basis. Clip the dividend for the rest of my retired life.

I get my first Social Security check next month. Put off filing till 70. Going to be a nice little boost to my retirement income. Jan got her first check in January, also at age 70. It will allow my dividend income to become 100% reinvest able.

I have monthly income from my 25% ownership of a Chrysler Dodge Ram dealership that now pays monthly rent via an LLC. I get quarterly distributions and it goes 100% to quarterly tax estimates, which cover my tax bill. Next step will be "Required Minimum Distribution" from our IRA's. That's a bit off out in time yet, but I expect to put 100% of those to quarterly estimates as well.

Hope to spend the SS checks on country living, and old car restoration projects. Going to complete my collection and then do some horse trading around a core of my personal restorations, and some Mecum auctions and Bring a Trailer purchases. I just can't get the used car manager out of my blood.

Here's to a nice pop in Cohu this morning. Let's get that 3 of 1 breaking out. Minimal trading in AH, but what little there was, was UP!

If you begin a study on E-wave, I recommend what Henry Costanza recommended to me: "Elliott Wave Principles" by Frost and Prechter, the earliest edition as possible
thriftbooks.com, and Technical Analysis of Stock Trends by Edwards and Magee earliest edition possible also thriftbooks.com

Thanks for the tip on the beef, I'll act on that today.

Hurry up and retire.

It's busier than anything I've expected.

I started out slow, watching the market full time, became obsessed as I loved it since my teen years, but my day job running dealerships took precedent as I had partners money to work.

It was a big obligation and we all were competitive in nature = so it was a passion as well.

Best part is you only do what you want to do.

The worst part is, we'll run out of time, just when things get to be the best ever.

Turning 70 has had that awareness come to a bigger consideration. That and pursuing a more serious wellness lifestyle.

Age is catching up on my body. A left knee worn out from running 75 marathons, and two bad rotator cups acting like an 18 year old trapped in a 65 year olds body. LOL

LIFE IS GOOD!

Always good to hear from you Longhorn!

Bob
