The market seems to be having a difficult time figuring out what Intel's problems mean for AMD today. Pretty muted response IMHO.

I really am struggling to understand what the impact on AMD will be for the Q2 report. The hit Intel took in CCG is the concern. AMD was not suddenly more competitive in Q2 in that segment, they were clearly a good deal worse off than they have been for quite some time in fact. Then the GPU side has seen significant price declines due to the crypto lads and lasses hitting a brick wall. So C&G segment for AMD should have been under significant pressure, given Intels results.

On the DCG/EESC side of things, Intel calling out competitive pressures, something they only acknowledge when its WAY past obvious bodes well for AMD, BUT how much can AMD actually ramp in 1 qtr. That market doesn't turn on a dime so the QoQ rise will be kind of muted. What I see there more is that guidance for that segment should be good going forward.

Will data center more than make up for client side for AMD? That is the big question. Both for Q2 and for guidance.
