AD, as it exists for most people, is too slow to be a timing signal. But it is a good indicator of what king of market we're in and which side of the order book you should play. Additionally, AD and ADV are good building blocks for creating other indicators. I am sure you saw mine that showed whether or not the typical trade made/lost money. AD is one of its key components.
