Unsure ‘what’ Xi has to back down from. All he promised was fire. It was going to be ‘fire’ all along say 2028. The time line needs no speed-up. In such a case any interim side show(s) will likely be considered interference in US elections. As to what the side show(s) would be I am not smart enough to figure out and at this juncture cannot ask anyone as all who can guess would / should have clammed up. Nothing to do except to wait & see / watch & brief. Pelosi is merely baiting / provoking, and nothing more, for the consequences are entirely within the control of Xi, and nothing Pelosi can do about. She did a foolish thing, and should have stuck to equities speculation. Perhaps she bought Raytheon etc shares already. Let’s see.
