In a shocking new report from Rupa Subramanya, newly-unsealed court documents reveal that Justin Trudeau’s government had no scientific basis for a ban on domestic travel by unvaccinated Canadians on trains and planes. In the days leading up to it, officials in the secretive Covid Recovery unit of Transport Canada frantically looked for a scientific rationale for the travel ban, but came up short.
Jennifer Little, head of the Covid Recovery unit, suggested that a senior official in Trudeau’s Cabinet—or possibly Trudeau himself—had ordered them to impose the ban. No one in the Covid Recovery unit, including Little, had any formal education in epidemiology, medicine, or public health.
This comes just one year after Trudeau gave his classic fuhrer-style rant denouncing the unvaccinated and referring to his own policies as “tyranny”:
If you don't want to get vaccinated, that’s your choice, but don’t think you can get on a train or plane beside vaccinated people and put them at risk. We need to be strong in the decisions we’re taking going forward, and we need to put the people first, which we have always done. And I’ll be honest, you know as well as I do that there’s lots of people out there who don’t agree with that. And the reality is, that’s ok, we’re in a democracy, people can make themselves heard, and that’s part of why we need to have this moment for people to make that choice for the future. The counter to tyranny is democracy, is election, and that’s exactly what we’re putting forward. |
