TJ in my observation and your family history Jack should concentrate on the piano, you already have a ballerina in the family. To excel in performing arts is much more satisfying and challenging than many other professions, and what you write perform or act lasts over time, and you can always return to them. I do write poetry when in mood and do music as a medium of relaxation ... and then I come up with interesting views and ideas. Was too unruly, as a kid to perceive all I perceive now - but on the other side of the coin your teachers must be first of all also very talented otherwise you get bored and under-perform. As to Erita let her loose even if she makes mistakes it will only provide her a lesson. You and wife can guide in the background but the ultimate choice is hers.
