<<Lack of imagination and lack of knowledge reins>> Yeah, on those who thought it OK to ship it all out to China. That would be our governments of course, and "leaders of industry". Somehow it all looks deliberate to me. "Free Market" is OK to a degree only, the home industry including the production of steel, ships, and other technology needs to be kept at home too. It takes a while to build up all the infrastructure even to produce silicon ingots.
