I just finished a decent Irish series called The Dry (not to be confused with the recent Australian series of the same name.).The lead character is a failed artist with a drinking problem who returns from London to Ireland and not-so-supportive family and friends. The cast is mostly veterans you will recognize who are able to handle both the comedy, which at times is very funny, and the more dramatic scenes. The eight episodes collectively total only 3 hours long, so it's not a huge commitment. I thought it was better than the IMDB ranking.

BTW, as I posted here a while ago I liked Capitani Season 1, though I was a little disappointed it didn't give a better feel for Luxembourg. I haven't got around to watching Season 2 yet. (I have both seasons in the original language as I try to avoid dubbed versions, which I find offputting.)

Time to go slice up some more apricots. Yesterday I bought 20 pounds from my favourite local farmer I am freezing them for later use. I make a wonderful apricot jam using low sugar pectin that just about everyone I gift a jar to confesses they started eating it with a spoon. Summer in a jar!

A flavour combo I recommend is the sharpness of apricots with the smoothness of blueberries.
