Meanwhile, back in the real world, wars have a different dimension these days.
Yes, it's true about the "free market" just ask Ghandi.

But here is an update, not on steel this time (although that is vital imho). Something even more vital and closer to home.
Who owns your water supplier? | lovemoney.com
of note:
| Water company | British or overseas ownership | Who owns it? | | Yorkshire Water | Overseas | Citigroup, HSBC, and Singapore-based GIC. |
I heard a rumour this morning, and it really is just a rumour, that the Chinese might be buying a stake Yorkshire Water.
My news says nothing, and can we rely on the news? I trust utube news more at the moment, and that is heavily censored and manipulated as we all know.
It would not surprise me though, and who knows, they might do a better job of running it.
Yorkshire Water | We Own It
Yorkshire Water provides water supply to customers in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire, part of North Lincolnshire, most of North Yorkshire and part of Derbyshire.
They waste an incredible 295.2 million litres of water per day!
Despite this, their CEO Richard Flint was paid a staggering £932,000 in 2018
Shareholders took £412 million in profits between 2013-2017
All this "fighting China" and "fighting Russia" talk falls on very deaf ears here. There are some defence contractors who see an opportunity for big profits and they do not care one whit about "the country" in real terms. I know where the real fascists are, and where the real communists are. There might be some in China, and some in Russia, but I am more concerned about the corrupted versions much closer to home. |
