Scangraphics appoints Oracle vice president to its board of
directors
BROOMALL, PA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 1996-- Scangraphics Inc , Monday announced
that Jack A. Pellicci has been appointed to its board of directors.
Jack Pellicci is Oracle Corp.'s Vice President of Strategy, Solutions and Marketing with
responsibility for the Worldwide Government Vertical which supports Oracle's Government and
Education business in ninety-five countries.
Pellicci, a retired Brigadier General and graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point,
joined Oracle in 1992 after 30 years in the U.S. Army, where he was the Commanding General of
the Personnel Information Systems Command.
He also served as the CIO of the Total Army Personnel Community and was responsible for the
integration of I/T initiatives for the Active, Reserve, National Guard and civilian components.
Pellicci's eight years at the national level resulted in significant improvement in the Army's overall
effectiveness through the application of technology to both its business processes and its war-fighting
doctrines.
Pellicci is a member of the board of directors of the Open GIS Consortium (OGC), an organization
of over 70 commercial, governmental, and educational entities dedicated to open systems
approaches to geoprocessing. He is the Vice Chairman of the High Performance Computing and
Communications Consortium (HPCCC).
In addition, he serves as Co-Chairman of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics
Association (AFCEA) International Technical Committee and is on the board of directors of
AFCEA's Washington, D.C. Chapter.
Pellicci is also on the board of advisors for the Government Technology Program/Project Colorado
at the University of Colorado.
