3M has announced the separation of its food safety business with Neogen Corporation through the merger of Garden SpinCo Corporation, currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of 3M formed to hold the Food Safety Business, with a subsidiary of Neogen. The transaction will be tax-free to 3M and 3M’s shareholders. Hum, should I stay with this growth and dividend growth under-achiever or should I go with the position 18% in the red after 4 years and with the issues related to ear plug problems compounding? Any comment welcomed.
