Shane, I'm right with you on your semis vs. semi equipment opinions. Also, someone said AMAT was up a fraction after hours. Well, same thing happened with INTC...beat estimates nicely, up about $2 after hours, but then down the next few days or weeks. They said their gross margins would go down a few % points. Big whoop, they'll still be at an almost obscene mid 50's.

Someone posted on the AMAT thread the distribution of AMAT sales in Japan, S. Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, etc. As I recall, they were much exposed in all regions, none of which are that hot right now. And, en total the far East was about 48.6% of world wide sales. Companies like Sun or Intel or Dell are likely in the 20's. And, because they buy a lot of components from the far East, like DRAMs and motherboards to make PCs and servers, they actually make out from the situation.
