The problem … We all tend to generalize based on personal experiences. A bad habit. I have been to many parts of the globe and it would be fair to say that my opinions of various countries or regions are heavily influenced by the people I met / dealt with which brings me back to the forum topic.

A somewhat “dubious” dog breed, Bull Terriers, which I had so far never a serious problem with, finally got me a couple of days ago and not just once but twice. One is just a deep scratch. The other one is a little chunk missing out of my hand.

A somewhat regular walking partner (usually on lead) was off lead horsing around with my Shepherd suddenly decided that I was the more interesting target. Not easy to fend off some 70 lbs of pure muscle. Luckily the owner pinned him down before things had a chance to get worse.

Essentially my fault as I knew that the dog has a tendency to go a little “mental” as in very rough play from time to time.
