Please Christine! Don't tell where sex has a place in my life -- it will not do! Unless we are talking about you (or perhaps your daughter). I did not realize that the issue regarding my allegiance had originated with you Christine. I thought it was one Magnolia's more fanciful notions. The thing is that I have had close relationships with gay men for whom, one might say unfortunately, I have nothing but respect and sometimes admiration. When I was going out with my first serious girlfriend a very handsome gay man took a fancy to me and received nothing for his pains. Of course he knew or should have known that there was no hope since my girlfriends attributes, quite opposite in every sense to his (she is small, pretty, and definitely curvy) left no doubt as to my inclinations, but he insisted even so. The thing of it was that I have never met anyone capable of as disinterested affection as he was. Quite saintly really. I did feel attached but never really tempted. It is a pity when you think about it.
