Am I missing something here? Archer and others are saying that RDRAM has got problems and that Intel is looking elsewhere for a solution.

If that's true, wouldn't Intel's stock be getting killed. My understanding is that SLDRAM isn't off the drawing board and DDRAM isn't fast enough for low end PCs. So if RDRAM doesn't work, Intel can't sell us upgrades next year because Moore's law doesn't hold anymore.

If that is the case, the tech sector is toast. So it seems to me that Intel has to make RDRAM happen. I'd appreciate your thoughts.
