Thoughts on the price move....
Its not productive to get excited and caught up in short term moves. I am bullish longer term on Novell, period - $6-8 range as stated before. My initial buying started last fall after watching the old cheerleading section sign off on this dog.
As for "setting up longs", this is a cute comment that's playing to the chorus. Don, can you come up with a fundamental reason why Novell should sink to $4 and change? Do you have any idea how demand for networking and network services in general are exploding right now. The NT vs. the world wars is far too simplistic. Microsoft is gradually losing control over their world. They will have a great run, but TCP/IP connectivity combined with exploding bandwidth will make Novell's new focus, network services, a huge success. Java is scoring big contracts - Motorola, Nokia, etc. It will be a fight, but Windows CE will not win, hands down.
There is plenty of life left in Novell. This thread is short or has already sold out. I say the bottom is in, the climate is ripe, the turn is at hand and we are climbing the wall of worry and disbelief from here on out. Novell needs overhead supply to make MM's happy. There's plenty of it as more and more silent longs sell out an a steady, but rising pattern of accumulation.
The sense of silence/hush in Novell is beautiful.
Good luck!
Still there Joe? - gotta love that Oracle. Hope all is well. And yes, Ida our cat is doing great.
