Yes, the covering will help the stock tremendously. There is so little left in the float that any buying will send the stock up. When the shorts see new people come in, many will cover and move on. This could start a rally.

The reason the Company did the convertible was that they needed to cover existing orders to expand and not because they needed the cash. Basically, they are sitting on back orders that the new cash allowed them to fill more quickly.
