I'm always glad to hear when people mention what's being said on CBC business world because I don't get to see it myself. Good to hear that Dunnery likes it. Hopefully his brokerage will push the stock.

The last thing I heard about Portugal was that it said now was not the right time to sell gold from its reserves. My main source of info on gold is the stories at biz.yahoo.com. Do you read them? There's a lot of other stories there so I usually do a search for "precious gold" (without quotes).

I'm sure that more movement in gold will move Kinross. It went up to at least $5.80 when we had that first rally back above $300/ounce.

It could well be that it will take the market time to digest the meaning of the deal. The Globe, for example, carried a story but all that was in it was extracted from the news release - no analyst comments or anything like that simply because everyone has been taken by surprise. If it is a good deal and more people like Dunnery Best say so, then the stock will go up as long as gold co-operates. And as the previous poster said, the brokerages will do all they can to ensure their clients don't lose on the deal.
