Well Bearcatbob I do live in Calgary and took your message as a bit of a suggestion, got my binoculars and went out to have a look at the two drill sites this afternoon.

I am not an oil industry type so I don't claim to really understand what the rig crews are doing, but I will pass along what I saw. When I arrived at the 21-21-03-W5 site the rig was on site and in the process of running sections, made up of three pieces of drill pipe, into the hole. These pipe sections were hanging vertically from the south side of the rig derrick and were being put into the hole at a rate of one every two minutes. While I was watching the rig, two flat bed semi's arrived at the lease with loads of pipe. As my vantage point was four or five hundred yards away it was difficult to estimate the size and type of pipe that was arriving. What I can say is it was larger in diameter than the drill string and the length would be between 30 and 40 feet. My own opinion is it was casing pipe that I saw but this is just a guess.

After watching this rig for about an hour I left to have a look at the 35-20-03-W5 drill site. The rig on this site was taken down a week or two ago and has been lying disassembled adjacent to the site. The rig was in the process of being removed from this site when I arrived this afternoon. When I last had a look at this drill site on Feb. 6/98 I could see what looked like a set of well head valves(christmas tree) protruding from the ground. Again I am looking at this site from three or four hundred yards away with binoculars so I cannot be exactly certain of what is there.

I have been a share holder in Bearcat since about October 97 and have made a point of driving by the drill sites every so often since the drilling started. I hope this information is of some use, maybe some of the industry types could hazard an opinion as to what could be going on at present?
Regards From Alberta
