Hi Bruce, In 1987 I was already using Cash as a back-up to my investing. My selling was quite similar to AIM's methods. I basically took the profits off the table and let the original dollar amount ride. It was on the BUY side that I was not nearly as efficient as Mr. L's AIM. AIM was a far superior Purchasing Agent to me and my own methods. I'd buy a $30 shirt on sale for $29.95! AIM won't hear of that!

My cash hoarding had been my own development and it was working well. When I read Mr. L's book, it was like a warm pat on the back.

I had the basics of the Idiot Wave as far back as 1986, but really didn't develop the model until the early part of the 1990s. It was getting familiar with electronic spreadsheets that got me to finish the IW idea.

Best regards, Tom
