I prepay expected taxes every year. When I filed 2021 taxes I expected to get a refund of about ~$10,500. Today I finally received a refund, but it was only ~$8,900. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to ask the IRS the reason for the difference? It's impossible to reach them via telephone.
