If you’re curious about the declassification Trump is on video in Dec of 2019 announcing to the world he has declassified every document that was in his possession.
Is it really that easy? Just declassify everything in your possession without knowing WTF was in those documents?

Even if that were legal, even if that were 100% within his prerogative, that's not an action that I would be comfortable defending.

I still remember when Sandy Berger, a.k.a. Sandy Burglar, stole a few documents from the National Archives:

That was a BFD, not because of the contents of those documents, but because of the way he so casually got around security protocols.

Now we have Trump saying, "Aw fuck it, just declassify it all," which sounds incredibly irresponsible to me. And for what? Just to legally cover his ass?
