Kinda fits with my question of why is Turkey in NATO ? Turkey is in NATO because long ago after WWII it was USSR Stalin murderous commie totalitarians vs the Free World and those disinclined to communism as in USSR and Maoistic styles. Turkey was against USSR.
Turkey had lost the Ottoman empire in WWI when ganging up with the Kaiser and didn't do so well when aligned with Adolf in the WWII rematch.
The Islamic world had failed miserably compared with the John Stuart Mill western world and the scientific, technology, free enterprise, common law, enlightenment world which boomed fantastically.
Turkey and USA/NATO were more aligned than Turkey and Stalin/USSR, as had been Turkey and UK and France versus Russia which led to the 1850s Crimean war while Russia was heading into the Balkans.
Turkey accepted USA rockets for nuking USSR as part of NATO. Turkey was the southern flank bulwark against USSR.
Now, things are not like that.
USA has gone totalitarian warmonger commie, TSA , Patriot Act, Fauci style, kleptocratic 3rd world with the trends bad. The individual is a has-been vs the Collective Loony Leftoid rainbow QWERTY Clinton/Epstein race-obsessed pronoun pronouncing freaks.
Russia has gone more towards civilisation. As has China having dumped Maoist horrors and many of the bad old ways.
Turkey is now sitting more between the two realms. Toadying to USA is no longer a straightforward good idea. Turkey is still happy to provide millions of Islamic Jihadists to help conquer Eurostan which they are doing very well at. The conquest is pretty much a done deal and it will take serious resistance to stop the process. Hordes of Euroserfs are unhappy with the situation and Brexit was part of that process of dissatisfaction.
USA politicians, Zbig and co-conspirators made a big mistake backing Osama bin Laden vs Gorby the Great. Ooops, down went the Twin Towers and 20 years of carnage and $trillions in financial destruction with $30 trillion deficit size and losing ground at something like 15% per year now. That's a quick trip to ruin. The fed might or might not stop the process because the More Free Stuff electorates with dissolute politicians are unlikely to avoid Argentinian/Zimbabwe outcomes.
Turkey of course is leaning Russia/China/India/Brazil/etc.
Turkey is a leader in the Islamic world - they can act as an intermediary. The do control the Bosphorus = transport route for megatons of fertilizer, food and fleets of military ships.
Some simpletons think there's a choice between being a Putin Serf or Atomic Armageddon. Turkey's bosses, like Kissinger, Putin and quite a lot of other people, such as China, India etc, maybe even some Euroserfs would like to have a sensible settlement that does NOT involve Russia's unconditional surrender, handing over Crimea and the winnings in eastern Ukraine.
It's like the Moslem murderers attacking Israel then whining like a fleet of Koreans because Israel won't unconditionally surrender, hand back Jerusalem, West Bank etc.
USA started the war in Ukraine with the Kievan coup paid for, armed and conducted by Nuland - Fuck the EU, Obama, Biden, Hunter and American evil-doers such as Lindsay Graham, John McCain and so many more.
