No longer! AMD is finally coming out of Nvidia's shadow. Let's hope it soon is reflected in valuation as well (although analysts may be hesitant for a while yet, expecting AMD to revise down).

I find it flabbergasting how much dependent Nvidia's revenue has been on cryptocurrency. It is good that they acknowledged some of it on the call yesterday. I just browsed their previous quarter's 10-Q, where it is prominently mentioned in "Risks", "Litigation" and "Segment information". In the latter, they even state that systems for mining is part of their Compute & Networking segment (hence may contribute to the flat outlook).

Also interesting is Jensen's remarks on the impact on next-generation "Hopper" deployment caused by the delay of Intel's "Sapphire Rapids" processor. He said that "Hopper" was compatible with "current generation CPUs", so would presumably be deployed on those, while they wait for Intel to ramp "Sapphire Rapids". I wonder whether he meant current generation Intel or AMD CPUs. EPYC is, as we know, used in the current DGX-A100 flagship products. Would be cool if DGX-H100 launches with EPYC processors.

PS. Your quoted reply was in response to my latest take on the possible scenarios for AMD+Xilinx, which still looks pretty good.
