Re: ... If you are so bearish and expect lower prices, why are you in such a rush to "put cash to work?"

I'm neither bullish or bearish, nor am I a swing trader. I do think there's a possibility that we will see SPX at 3400-3500. I do have a number of limit buy orders in place at prices that might reflect an SPX at 3500.

There is also the possibility that I could be wrong as well so what I have been doing is putting some of the available cash to work using a dollar cost average approach.

You and I have different goals as well which would indicate we'd be using different strategies to achieve them. I assume as a swing trader it's all about capital growth for you where in my case it's all about income growth.

My objective, or mission if you will is to create an income stream that is reliable, predictable and increasing This approach has me investing every month regardless of market conditions. It's not just the yield I'm focusing on but the rising share count as the more shares I own the more dividends I receive as an income investor.

The market can correct my capital gains but they can't correct my share count and my share count is what determines the dollars and cents I am to collect every month.
