Yes - I agree. We are all relativists whether we want to be or not. Most things don't have to be relegated to simple buckets. Debate with Christians and they could be flexible until they got stymied by a bit of dogma. A good one is to ask one sect about the "validity" of another sect. Kind of funny to see them bob and weave on that one. The initial answer is "Yes" then you go on to the next point and they can't reconcile the differences between themselves and the "other" - then it becomes "No".

It is a matter of degree of certainty of our inputs and outputs. We can limit scope and produce useful standards. There is a "right" and "wrong" torque for head bolts on a car. Those live within a space of proper torquing sequence. If everything is right - stack-ups of tolerance can still produce the odd car that doesn't work. Was it built "right" or "wrong" ? Not really a useful question.

Doesn't work as desired.
