Catch-up on recent shows (all on APV, maybe Acorn or Britbox, I don't really notice):

"The Beautiful Fantastic" - a delightful little movie where you know exactly what is going to happen to this bunch of oddball characters, but it's charming to watch Tom Wilkinson lead them through it.

New Zealand shows - "One Lane Bridge" is very reminiscent of "Dark Winds" in many ways as a Maori detective who moves to a small town with a very lethal bridge and lots of stories (spirits?) behind it.

"Westside" is a goofy comedy about a family funded by hardworking thievery, screwy immigrant neighbors down the street, etc. Fun so far.

Another movie - "Sherlock Holmes and the Silk Stocking" has the usual taut story line, but I wasn't taken with the casting. Watchable.
