Regarding ASRT,

If your broker's soft ware platform has Fibonacci retracements.

Calculate the retracement from the start of the last rally to its highest point.

Then add to your existing position when and IF the retracement reaches the 61.8% retracement level.

If that level is above your original cost, make it a 5 or 10% add to.

If it is below your current cost basis, double down and drop your cost basis.

The above only should be considered if you "Like the stock" and are comfortable with your position.

For me that takes fundamentals like more revenue and /or higher margins. Debt reduction,dividends and stock buy backs all are plusses.

The time to watch and consider that is when we are in the bottom spotter activation period. Those usually take at least 6 days and can go on to the longest I've see at 15 to 18 days. Brutal declines.

Watching put call ratios as puts spike up over the 1.25 to 1 plus range are also good timing tools.

I'm hunkered down this next two weeks. Have my CVX and XOM dividends coming in first half of September and hope to use the funds to add to my energy stocks KMI, CVX, and XOM.

It almost always is like when I was a used car manger at my dealership, The profit is made by buying it right. <smile>

P.S. Hope our Houston homes make it through the mid September hurricane season. The worst damage done to our dealerships and homes always happened in mid September.
