Ref water and sewage. Fake news.

Water has always been "recycled" in the UK

Even if you were in London during the 1980's the water you drank was recycled about a dozen times before is got into the North sea. The water, filters and everything, was always of the best quality. If the bug count got above a certain level they would add chlorine to the water. Before drinking it was best to let chlorinated water air for about 20 minutes for the chlorine to evaporate.

People in the UK who buy bottled water, or who fit "filters" to the tap water are generally clueless. There are some mineral waters that are special, but chlorine, rarely added, should be just left to gas off if it's present. It very easily detected by the sense of smell.

The same rules apply to the whole UK, but yes they do put fluoride in the water also for no known reasons other than conspiracy theories. It costs to do that too.

My water is a private supply that comes straight off the hill. The sheep chit in it first as do the buzzards and deer and all the country side critters. The lairds (same family) and the serfs around here have been drinking it for longer than the USA has existed. They seem to be doing OK on it. Tastes OK too. It is filtered and put through UV first.
