Brumar, OK, first of all, we're not in the war, we're not fighting it by definition. This is a proxy war by every definition imaginable.
Ukraine would not be able to hold the line without NATO's help.
We are suppling the fighter and if you listed to Zelensky, we're doing that adequately. If so, then Ukraine would have already started their long-anticipated counteroffensive in the south.
The op-ed that I posted already pointed out the shortcomings of NATO assistance, which is characterized by "ebb and flow."
The truth is that Ukraine is still outmanned and outgunned by almost an order of magnitude. NATO weapons make great force-multipliers, but they have done nothing thus far other than to hold off RuZZian aggression and disrupt supply lines behind the front.
There is room to step up that assistance. Ukraine commanders reported a while back that they have maybe 10% of what they need in order to stage a good counteroffensive.
Even then, what happens when PooTin escalates the conflict? Should we still concentrate the fighting in Ukraine, with civilians constantly in the crossfire? Or should we start massing forces along the NATO border with RuZZia in hopes of splitting up PooTin's forces? (That's assuming, of course, that Poland and later Finland would be willing to allow that.)
I don't think Brandon is on top of any of these questions, even though he has the power to enable all of the above. He just stands there like an old fart feebly saying, "but pootin is a bad man."
