HP, Cisco and Oracle Collaborate to Provide End-to-end Availability; Cisco and Oracle Support HP's "5nines:5minutes" Vision of 99.999 Percent Annual Uptime
SILICON VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 1998-- Hewlett-Packard Company, Cisco Systems, Inc. and Oracle(R) Corporation today announced they will be collaborating to achieve HP's "5nines:5minutes" vision of 99.999 percent annual end-to-end availability -- equating to only five minutes of downtime per year.

The companies' joint efforts are intended to bring to market products and proactive services that will increase uptime of mission-critical IT applications across the entire environment -- including the hardware, operating system, database, application and network -- and extend the concept of high availability from a component level to true end-to-end availability. (See today's companion release titled "HP's 5nines:5minutes Vision Extends Leadership and Redefines High Availability for Mission-critical Environments.")

I hope this does not hurt SRA. Maybe HWP is contemplating a buy out
of SRA.
