No, but US does, and article 5 of NATO will be invoked should RF clash with Poland. It’s all about article 5 on Russian borders. So if you have a huge snake trying to kill you do you cut off it’s head or it’s tail? Yep. DC gets nuked so the head dies. Article 5 means RF hits entire NATO if it comes to nukes, or war. RF does not want to commit suicide by NATO, but if it has no other choice. I mean I would not be so sure. Ruric, the first king of Russia, went to Novgorod, then his son settled in Kiev. For hundreds of years Russia and Ukraine were ruled by Rurics, different princes. Getting Ukraine to join nato is like getting DC to join Warsaw Pact in Soviet times. It angers Russia that much. Ukraine is regarded as an important part of Russian history, its birth place. Not by the neo nazis of course. They got Fs in school.
