Keep going back and forth as to whether SiC is really supply constrained. Onsemi said Wednesday that most of the RFQs are for SiC. They blatantly say they are going to charge a premium and there will be no yearly price cuts. Wolfspeed also says they will not compete on price for substrates or devices.

There may be another group that wants to keep margins reasonable to build relationships or expand the market faster through lower prices. OLED TVs haven't majorly taken off because they are constantly a premium product.

STMicro is going from $550 million last year to $700 million this year. Last year was supposedly majorly back half loaded so this year is flattish compared to last years second half. On substrates by my calculations II-VI had a better quarter last year then the one they just had and they went in front of a planning commission earlier in the year saying they were approaching the power capability of their fab. Kind of seems like they are both seeing a healthy amount of depreciation.
