This week the commercials decreased their short positions in both gold and silver.

Ed Steer's comments regarding the silver position this week was "... it's most white-hot bullish in COMEX history" and on gold it is still wildly bullish from a COMEX perspective but not as bullish as the low on July 26th.

The US$ chart is interesting as it is at a high for this move.
