When I lived in Kingman, AZ and Bullhead City, AZ, I never got 2 day free shipping as a Prime member. The reason was obvious, the nearest big city was in Las Vegas, over a 100 miles away. On the other hand, I now live in a much smaller town in Pioneer, CA, with a population of 5k, but I get free 2 day shipping because the biggest city, Sacramento is only 60 miles away. Amazon does not have warehouses in small hick towns.
