Areas grazed by cattle also benefited native species

That assessment maybe questionable, except for one positive... they keep vegetation trimmed down.
The thing about cattle is compacted soils. Huge problem.
Ted Turner purchased exhausted Montana cattle ranches, fenced the properties, then released buffalo.
Buffalo have cloven hooves.. helps aerate the soil as they walk out & about, healthily restoring the land mother natures way.
