Hans-Erik, thanks for your very informative posts. I too am a strong believer in the ultimate ubiquity of OOT, but I've been very frustrated by the slow adoption. From where I'm sitting, the inertia that must be overcome to adopt OOT, even among the more adventurous companies I work with, is very daunting. Foremost in the minds of MIS bosses is the Y2K problem, which is consuming about 25% of IS budgets, according to a recent issue of Computerworld. The scarcity of talent - qualified OO modelers, designers, and programmers - also stands in the way.

I'm curious - what are the obstacles you and others are seeing that prevent OOT from coming to the fore, what events must take place, and what do you think the timeframe is?

TIA.
