The main deviation from the high quality specification is the BPD, which is specified with a upper limit of 300 cm-2. This value is the most aggressive reviewing all the targets for the substrate in the project and specification for 150 mm diameter substrates are as of today clearly higher. This comment seems to be telling as to quality of the STMicro 150mm substrates. They were not expecting BPD requirement to get lowered from 150mm to 200mm. Coherent is the only supplier that regularly publishes substrate status and from past papers they reached 300 cm-2 for BPD back in 2013.
