Not sure what you mean be "restart with no consequences." If
you mean can I restart without rebooting, no I haven't managed
to do that. I've been able to reboot and then restart with
no apparent consequences except that it happens again soon
and I have to reboot again to make it work.

When I say "happens again soon" I mean after a while I'll try
to run the chart or scan program and they get an invalid
instruction at startup. In fact, except for the rebuild
database I ran last night, which toasted the db :(, I haven't
had anything crash while actually running.

I'm not sure I've given the separate VM a fair test yet.
I just started that a couple of days ago, and now I have
the database to fool with :(:(. Still, my luck has been poor.
Welcome to TA, Spots :).

Gahhh. SI crashed when I tried to submit the above message.
Had to cut and paste into a new window and do it again.
