Bob I recall we both had the Troy-Bilt Horse 7 HP (Tecumseh engine). The Harbor Freight 6.5 HP is a bolt-on replacement although I had my local shop do the work for $80. It's quieter and seems to have more power than the original. I bought my tiller new in 1988 and have never done anything except replace the tines once (our NC soil is full of quartz rocks). For $150 it was a great deal but I have no idea if they're still going for that. I think you will be very happy with it.

Good luck!
