Program

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1998-- Consolidated Cigar Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CIG - news) announced today that its board of directors has authorized the company to repurchase from time to time up to four million shares of the company's common stock at prices deemed by the company's officers to be advantageous. The board specified that any such purchase be subject to compliance
with applicable laws and any credit or other agreements by which the company may be bound.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb 11 (Reuters) - Consolidated Cigar Holdings Inc said Wednesday that its board of directors has authorized the repurchase of up to four million shares of the company's common stock.

The company recently had 30.67 million shares outstanding.
