I have an in-law born in Ireland and his mother is German, but he does not call himself Irish-German he is simply Irish, there is no Irish-German citizen registry.

Another in-law can trace all his lines to Ireland and I believe is even entitled to Irish citizenship because of that. Even though he can trace all his lines to Ireland does not make him Irish, even though his pedigree is more Irish than some guys born in Ireland.

It is stupid and racist saying Mexican-American, you're either one or the other, you can't be both.
