Re <<I have been reading that the Bay Bridge in California, on needing replacement, was build and floated over from China>>

(2) At the time I noted the win-win Message 27483592

(3) Happy happy all around on delivery day, five months early Message 27485381

(4) Strangely there were folks recommending to both USA and Africa to say "no" to China Message 30899162

... ostensibly because China quality an issue
media.sacbee.com
Bay Bridge’s troubled China connection

... turned out the issue was all-USA bolts and in-situ works, and the entire episode was buried deeper than deep structuremag.org in Engineering literature without attribution to national origin

In the meantime, undeniably, yes, Team China likes to build bridges rather than destroying them
